If your anything like me, your slow to grasp the concept of the rapid changes in technology, what's new today can be obsolete a year later.
For years, I was in the dark about this new technology, I'm still trying to figure out the portable CD player but I have to admit, when it came to portable music devices I was at a total loss. I kept hearing about this new device called the Apple Ipod, that could play music without the use of a cassette or cd.
The Apple Ipod is a storage unit that is no larger than a 3 inch ruler, it stores digital files called mp3 to its memory which can be downloaded from the internet. Downloading mp3 files, especially music is the second most popular activity on the internet next to research and internet surfing. The good folks at Apple noticed this trend and capitalized on it, hence the birth of the Apple Ipod.
